Big Walker is beginning it's 4th incarnation as a flying site. Starting with the first site in the mid 1970's the location of the launch has moved 3 times. Big Walker Mountain also contains numerous caves. The Skydusky system consists of over half a dozen caves (located in the general region of "High Rock") which are tied together hydrologically. Until very recently one of these caves held the Virginia state record as the "deepest free drop" (203 feet).
Future updates to this web page will expand on both the flying and caving history of this mountain, as well as current flying activities.
