to the Home Page of the Southwest Virginia Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, otherwise known as the Skywackers

We are an official chapter of the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association

The Skywackers have a long and colorful history. The original 'Wackers were flying from Big Walker Mountain as early as 1974, and we have been Boo Waa'ing across the skies ever since.

Membership is open to any Hang Gliding or Paragliding Pilot (or potential pilot) who is a member of the USHPA

There is also a Google Groups Skywacker List for general discussion and making flying plans.
